Oder wie hör ich auf mit dem Rauchen (mal wieder).

Ja so ist es, ich bin es mal wieder leid zu rauchen. Nachdem ich die letzten Tage nach dem aufstehen kaum noch Luft bekommen habe habe ich mich dazu entschlossen das Rauchen sein zu lassen. Aber hatte ich das nicht schon mal? Doch! Aber leider habe ich aus einer dummen Laune heraus wieder angefangen.

So drückt mir die Daumen, dass ich diesmal stark genug bin nicht wieder mit dem Rauchen anzufangen.

Patch 3.1 and Ulduar

Patch 3.1 hit the servers yersterday and I am really amazed by it. Just played my priest tho, but this was all bout fun.

The DualSpec talenttrees are a great thing, even if they are still bugged sometimes (I wasn’t able to see my talents at all).
So ’bout talents: I’m really happy with the changes they made to holypriests and it seems that this will be my new mainspec. Even if I’m still fiddling around some talents.

Ulduar:

or should I call it Funduar? I laughed my ass of while destroying Flame Leviathan, had really fun with the trash the other bosses so far.
Sure, Ignis is way harder than some bosses I have seen so far, but it’s a new challenge.
XXT-002 is a nice encounter which puts me as a priest under good pressure sometimes, mostly because bad things happen with bad timing (Earthquake & Light Bomb on a healer).
Let’s see what this evening has for us, and what Sunday brings to my shaman.

I really enjoyed naxx yesterday. it was a great evening with lot’s of fun in our guild. the run was ok not the best one we ever did, but the fun compensated it.
Also I got some new nice items, wich you can see in my armory.

Will come back later, work’s calling.

since I’m playing World of Warcraft again, I inserted new features to this blog. You can always follow my progress by watching my character status on the right.

Maybe I will also start blogging ’bout my adventures in WoW, starting with my raid to Naxxramas (heroic) tonight.

another update on my mission.
I’m still smoke free and even if it’s hard sometimes, I’m still 100% smokefree and really happy with this decision.

Day two

Yeah, the second day goes by and my desire grows stronger and stronger. Permanently I’m thinking about getting a smoke and forget it. Just one won’t stop me from quitting, but makes it less uncomfortable.

I hate this feeling. I hate it when I’m not in control of my desires. Let’s wait and see what the next days will bring. Hopefully it get’s better and I’m not switching into berserk mode!

Hi there,

it’ s ’bout 24 hours I stopped smoking and I have a big craving for nicotine. Let’s see if it get’s better today or if the fight will be a tough one like Nick told me in his comment. Btw. thanks for your cheers, I will defnitly need them.

I will try to quit smoking right now.

The main reason for this is my health and overall constitution. A nice sideeffect will be the money I can spend on other stuff like vacations, new furniture or my future.

Sometimes it will be hard, but the benefits are worth it. Follow this blog if you are interested in this story.

Eclipse console

A colleague and I have some problems with the default console in eclipse. You are able to modify the default output color, but are not really able to modify it to your needs. Sure, if you configure your logger (in our case log4j) you can easily differnciate between standard output and errors, but what if you want to see all kind of informations in differnt colors.

After there was another conversation about this topic in our office today I decided to have a deeper look in the eclipse plugin architecture and the eclipse console in general, but luckily I searched http://www.eclipseplugincentral.com/ for any kind of console plugin and found this nifty one. http://marian.musgit.com/projects_grepconsole.php

Marian had the same idea of getting colors to the eclipse console as we got today. So I gave it a try and am really satisfied with what I got there. It’s a great plugin and I think I will use and recommend it.
